Garnet color with slight orange reflections. An austere and imposing example of this cru displaying characteristic power and strength. Its classic style excites the nose with marvelous spice, tobacco, and dry rose scents.
This wine is perfectly accompanied by important traditional meat dishes: it is superb with braised beef, game, and aged cheese.

Earthy aromas of truffle, forest floor, woodland berry, mint and new leather escape the glass. Bright and elegantly structured, the polished palate delivers Marasca cherry, cranberry, cinnamon and star anise framed in youthfully firm, refined tannins. Fresh acidity lends balance. Drink 2023–2038.
Wine Spectator – 92 points
This is elegant, boasting cherry, floral, tobacco and iron flavors. The tannins lean to the dry side, but this retains an elegant feel through the chalky finish. Just needs time. Best from 2021 through 2035.
